A decade ago, Lisa Suennen saw a dearth of investment professionals writing about the healthcare industry, so she created her
Venture Valkyrie blog.
Suennen’s blog became essential reading to anyone outside the Monday morning partners’ meeting, giving outsiders an inside look at the power and process of a healthcare VC.
Today, Suennen stands at the epicenter of a mini content-empire that includes blogging, the
Tech Tonics podcast, and her regular contributions to the Timmerman Report.
In addition to blasting a fire hose of content, Suennen recently accepted the post of senior managing director, healthcare at
GE Ventures, where she invests across the healthcare spectrum.
In this podcast, host Tom Salemi asks Suennen how Medtechers can learn from her example and find a way to deliver their essential messages to a broader audience.
Suennen also reveals what sort of Medtech companies GE Ventures wants to add to its portfolio.
Finally, she discusses
Csweetener.org, her new not-for-profit effort to match mentors with female executives interested in finding their way to healthcare’s most important posts.
