John Spencer is a Senior Client Partner with Korn Ferry and a member of the Firm’s Global Life Sciences Practice. He brings clients an understanding of business dynamics, medical/scientific technology and executive talent needs, drawn from over two decades in Life Sciences executive search, sales and marketing , and lab research positions. Mr. Spencer’s clientele spans venture capital and private equity firms, small/mid-cap corporations, and large multinationals. He has deep knowledge and broad professional networks throughout this sector, in areas that include medical devices and diagnostics, genomics, life sciences tools, personalized medicine and biotechnology. Since 2000, Mr. Spencer has helped fill over 250 assignments ranging from CEO, CFO, President and the Board of Directors to leadership functional positions in Sales and Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Clinical, Medical and Quality/Regulatory Affairs. Earlier, Mr. Spencer held commercial positions with Corning Life Sciences (NASDAQ:GLW) within their Drug Discovery and Genomics group, the Enterprise Life Sciences Software team at (NASDAQ:SQST), and Pacific Science, a medical products distributor. Mr. Spencer received his B.S. in Physiology from the University of California at Davis. He worked as a post-graduate Researcher at the U.C. Davis Medical Center, and as a Pharmacokinetic Researcher at Arris Pharmaceuticals.
