Welcome to Our Medtech Talk Podcast Channel
Too often we define the Medtech sector by the number of dollars raised, IPOs helped or companies sold. But the focus neglects the very foundation of the sector - the People. Join the Medtech Talk Podcast each week to hear from entrepreneurs, investors and executives who spend their days developing the tools that make sick people well and health care more efficient.
Growing up in Austria as the daughter of two physicians, Lisa Anderson, co-founder and CEO of Paragonix Technologies, spent many evenings around the dinner table discussing patient care with her parents. After pursuing advanced studies in biomedical sciences and medical genetics, Anderson ventured back into patient care and launched a donor organ preservation and transport company to dramatically improve the standard of care for many donor recipients.
Dr. Lisa Anderson is the chief executive officer, president, and co-founder of Paragonix Technologies. She co-founded Paragonix to create a new standard of care for organ preservation and transport that would improve patient outcomes worldwide. This initiative has developed novel medical devices that provide a sterile, temperature, and pressure-controlled environment for organs traveling between operating rooms. Paragonix Technologies has established itself as a global leader in donor organ preservation and transport and is now used at transplant centers worldwide. Before Paragonix, Dr. Anderson held the position of vice president at Seed-One Ventures and was an instructor at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Anderson earned her Ph.D. from Gonsville & Caius College at the University of Cambridge. Additionally, Dr. Anderson completed postdoctoral fellowships at the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research at the University of Cambridge and Harvard Medical School.
